"Leave the light on, I'll come back for you." #protomen poster/fanart

Based on one of my favorite tracks from Protomen - Act II: The Father of Death: "Breaking Out"

Feeling good about this one. Knowing me, however, I'll probably make some changes before its final form -- whatever that may be.

Suggestions and critique are welcome!

File Save Fail

I was working on -- what was turning out to be -- a pretty good quick draw for Heartburn's article. While I was quick to turn out a jpeg for the man to peek at, I managed to forget to save a copy of the PSD. This is all that remains of what could have been a pretty neat illustration... a 72 dpi train wreck.

Something like 15-20 minutes on my RC25.

While busy with non-art stuff..

2010

2009

2008

Thought I'd throw on my Christmas card illustrations amidst this artwork dry spell. Been busy learning a programming language on my spare time.

Designs are mine, though legally belong to my work, as they sell them for moneys.

More lightweight illustration

Been a little busy learning Python. In between, though, I drew up an avatar for guest contributors on Not Another Castle!

Still life is actually a little fun!

Not lazy!!

Well, maybe a little bit. But here's something I've been working on for our game review group, http://www.notanothercastle.com

Avatars for each author, including myself.

Shameless sequential art plug #resume

No, we're not reviving this project. Not yet anyway. These are some rough layouts, however, for the sole purpose of representing my seq. art abilities.

"Technotopia" concept sketch #illustration

Something I mulled over on the way home from work. Did a quick sketch late tonight, bout 20 min. Will look into pursuing it further, but still got Botto stuff to work on.

Time to get back to work. Starting to lay out the illustrations for the children's book, written by Shane Hosea.

"20 Stories High," #Protomen 'fanart,' colored

Finished, I'm pretty sure. Final coloring of "20 Stories High".

Original file is 11 x 22", 300 dpi. I'll probably use 'Fractals to blow it up to poster size, though. This one's kinda growing on me.

Special thanks to my pal Shane for telling me to listen to this band, and thanks to the Protomen for making awesome tunes.

Must've logged 8 hours on this one, PSCS5, Toshiba R25 TPC.

Edit:

Couldn't find a free hosting site that didn't: downsample your images, resize your images, or have a size limitation. So, trying out Megaupload. Two versions, both 1920x1080:

1920 x 1080 cropped

1920 x 1080 letterboxed

Let me know if it did anything weird. Thanks for checking out my art!

'Fan art,' The Protomen - "Will of One" Line Art

Inspired by the track "The Will of One" by The Protomen.

Mechanical/inorganic lines and perspective are some of my weakest points. I feel pretty good about this line art, so far. Kind of reminds me of Geof Darrow's stuff, what with the lack of shadows and all.

I think I will color it.. but, oh, the hand cramps!

Original size is 22" x 11" @ 300 dpi.

Probably somewhere around 6 hours, PSCS5, R25 TPC.
